Tokens

Understanding cryptocurrency tokens and how they work in Ainexa

Tokens

Tokens are digital assets that exist on blockchain networks. Ainexa supports thousands of tokens across multiple blockchains, enabling you to manage diverse crypto portfolios in one place.

Token Types

Native Tokens

The primary currency of a blockchain network:

BlockchainNative TokenUsed For
EthereumETHGas fees, transactions
SolanaSOLGas fees, staking
NEAR ProtocolNEARGas, storage, staking
BitcoinBTCTransactions, store of value
AvalancheAVAXGas fees, staking
PolygonPOLGas fees, staking

ERC-20 & Token Standards

Tokens built on top of blockchains:

  • ERC-20 (Ethereum): USDC, USDT, LINK, UNI
  • SPL (Solana): USDC, RAY, JUP
  • NEP-141 (NEAR): Native NEAR tokens
  • BEP-20 (BSC): Similar to ERC-20

Stablecoins

Tokens pegged to fiat currencies:

  • USDC: USD Coin - widely used, audited
  • USDT: Tether - largest by market cap
  • DAI: Decentralized, crypto-collateralized

Wrapped Tokens

Representations of tokens on different chains:

  • WETH: Wrapped ETH (ERC-20 version of ETH)
  • WBTC: Bitcoin on Ethereum
  • wNEAR: Wrapped NEAR for DeFi use

Token Information

Viewing Token Details

Ask the AI about any token:

  • "Tell me about NEAR"
  • "What is Chainlink?"
  • "Show me USDC details"

Available Information

  • Price: Current market price
  • Market Cap: Total circulating value
  • Volume: 24-hour trading volume
  • Supply: Circulating and total supply
  • Chains: Which networks the token exists on
  • Contracts: Contract addresses per chain

Token Operations

Swap

Exchange one token for another:

You: Swap 100 USDC to ETH

Send

Transfer tokens to another address:

You: Send 50 NEAR to alice.near

Bridge

Move tokens between blockchains:

You: Bridge USDC from Ethereum to Arbitrum

Wrap/Unwrap

Convert between native and wrapped versions:

You: Wrap 1 ETH

Supported Tokens

Ainexa supports thousands of tokens across:

Major Networks

  • Ethereum and EVM chains (Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon)
  • Solana
  • NEAR Protocol
  • Bitcoin
  • Sui
  • Aptos
  • XRP Ledger
  • Stellar

Token Discovery

Find tokens through:

  • Market browser search
  • Contract address lookup
  • AI chat queries

Adding Custom Tokens

For unlisted tokens:

You: Add token 0x... on Ethereum
AI: I found this token:
    Name: [Token Name]
    Symbol: [SYMBOL]
    Add to your portfolio view?

Token Safety

Verification

The AI helps identify:

  • Official vs copycat tokens
  • Verified contract addresses
  • Potential scam tokens

Best Practices

  1. Verify contracts: Check addresses on block explorers
  2. Research first: Understand tokens before trading
  3. Watch for scams: Be cautious of airdropped unknown tokens
  4. Check liquidity: Low liquidity can mean high slippage

Warning Signs

  • Tokens appearing from nowhere
  • Tokens you can't sell
  • Promises of unrealistic returns
  • Pressure to act quickly

Multi-Chain Tokens

Many tokens exist on multiple blockchains:

Same Token, Different Chains

USDC exists on:

  • Ethereum
  • Polygon
  • Arbitrum
  • Solana
  • NEAR
  • And more...

Bridging Between Chains

Use Ainexa to move tokens:

You: Bridge 500 USDC from Polygon to Base
AI: I'll bridge 500 USDC from Polygon to Base
    Bridge: [Selected bridge]
    Fee: ~$0.50
    Time: ~2 minutes
    [Approve] [Reject]

Price Differences

Prices may vary slightly between chains due to:

  • Bridge fees and delays
  • DEX liquidity differences
  • Market inefficiencies
